Have you seen the shadowman ... - (Short Story: Part1)

Lost in the heart of an ancient, fog-laden forest, (at least it felt like it, i knew that forest, I have been there 'bout a hundred times before), I ventured deeper into the ethereal mist, my senses heightened by the eerie surroundings. The trees stood like silent sentinels, their gnarled branches weaving a tapestry of shadows that danced with every subtle movement of the mist.

As I pressed on, an unsettling feeling settled in the pit of my stomach, a premonition of something otherworldly. The fog clung to my every step, obscuring the path ahead and turning the woods into a maze of uncertainty. Whispers of unseen creatures rustled through the damp foliage, heightening my unease.

Suddenly, through the mist, a figure emerged. A shadow, darker than the fog that enveloped the forest, took form among the twisted trees. Its silhouette seemed to absorb the very essence of the spectral atmosphere, and an oppressive energy radiated from its presence.
