Depressed Cat in Bed as Impasto Blacklight Painting
This image shows a sad cat lying in a bed full of pillows. The image uses impasto techniques and a vivid color palette reminiscent of blacklight art, in a style similar to 1980s palette knife drawings.

Dearest Sierra May, close hug Thank you for sharing this amazing collection of your journey through an episode of bipolar disorder! Even before reading the readings your creations told the story loud and clear! You should make a little book and share it around for more to be informed! Excellent work and I wish you all the very best!

I went through them in order and read your collection description completely. I too have struggled with this diagnosis. They called mine type 2, as I really don't hit a true manic phase unless I incorporate excessive stimulants or opioids into the equation. And substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain are all a part of my equation as well. I've been "off Rx" and "self medicated" with over the counter and herbal remedies (and lots and lots of prayer and Faith) for nearly 20 years now. I have a good support system around me and yes ... A coping handbook and an emergency plan. DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) seems to be the most helpful for me when I am experiencing emotional crisis and unable to find stability with my regular coping skills. 😍🤗🙏🕊️
Aw, sad kitties! We should try to treat ourselves as if we were beloved pets when the darkness comes…. Great story!
