Vikings are the grandiose navigators of the early Middle Ages. Due to the low fertility of Zealand and the Norwegian coast, since the 8th century, the Scandinavians began to raid the countries of Western Europe and began to settle in new places - Dublin, now the capital of Ireland, was founded by the Vikings. They also traded extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East.

The Vikings also became pioneers - they own the discovery of Iceland, Greenland and North America, where they did not bother much with names - Helluland (the land of flat stones, because it was a lifeless rocky land), Markland (the land of forests, because of forests, how unexpected) and Vinland (the land of wine, because there were many berries from which the Vikings made wine).

The sun's rays melted the ice on the fjords,
Again old and young dream of war.
Each waits for signs of their fate -
To die in battle or grasp coins galore.

The winter so long
Is finally done,
In the hall gathered all the folk so free.

South let's now sail,
Where dragonships wait -
Tomorrow we'll start our plundering spree.

But I hear again the talk
Of sailing far westward, we must not balk...
What if only empty ocean's beyond?
I'm not ready to trust simply words from their mouth!

Who are you to defy the chieftain?
Foolish boy with your map.
Better to pillage ruins again,
Than drown lost in a dream.
What good are tales of newfound land?
My longships I'll keep on hand.

Thank you! I thought there were no bioluminescent bays in Florida, but it turns out Indian River Lagoon is one. There are so few that they are a special treat anywhere you can find them, and Puerto Rico has 3!

:) :) very wonderful series - very realistic ..... there are a few bioluminescent bays about ...Victoria's Port Phillip Bay gets the algae dinoflagellate from time to time .....um have been swimming in it ...beach party magic :) :)
