A Floating Lotus Flower on The Water

Juggernaut XL v8
Reaching the meadow's edge, Clara paused by a gentle river. In the flowing water, a single lotus flower bobbed serenely, its delicate petals catching the sunlight. It felt like a sign, a calming presence after the whirlwind adventure.
Picking a smooth river stone, she tucked it into her pocket alongside the flowers. It reminded her of a proverb she'd recently learned:
円 が の 水 に 住む より、 泥 の 水 に 散華 住む
It meant, "It's better to live clear and pure in muddy water, than to live muddied in clear water."
The saying resonated with her. Finding a life partner wasn't about finding someone perfect, but about finding someone who would help them both bloom, even amidst life's challenges.
Artists mixed in this are:
- Yuko Shimizu, a contemporary artist
- Josephine Wall, a fantasy painter
- Ismail Incelogu, a digital illustrator
- Bo Chen, a character illustrator

Gorgeous line art. I know this is ink, yet I used to use a black, brown, red or green (or mix of two) Stabillo point 88 fineliners for quick line art. Then with a dab at the lines (because Stabillo isn't waterproof) with a waterbrush pen, I can pull out some colour for lovely effects for shadows and such. Simple but effective. You've just reminded me to revisit them! Again, lovely! 🤍🤍🤍

I love this one.
I could only understand two words in that proverb: water and live. I should go learn some more.
"The saying resonated with her. Finding a life partner wasn't about finding someone perfect, but about finding someone who would help them both bloom, even amidst life's challenges." True!
