So I’m always down to answer questions from anybody, whether they’re basic questions or advanced ones. This is an excellent example of a great question though for sure, with a well/reasoned hypothesis too!

And you are of course 100% right 👍🏻 The size of the image output is determined by the interplay of four systems, with the caveat that only three of these systems will ever be in play at once. What do I mean?

Well, the process begins with one of two data points. If you are using an init image, then your width and height will constitute that data point. If not, there is a second, alternative data point that is determined by the aspect ratio with which you choose the overall shape of the final image!

With either your initial image’s pixel dimensions pr your aspect ratio chosen - this is the reason only three of the four options will be relevant at first is because you can’t access the aspect ratio controls once an unit image is selected

In any case, each represents a ratio. How this ratio is applied to initiation images, what with their nonstandard dimensions, is not immediately apparent to me as a math formula. For me it is enough to know that the ratio will scale up or down my input image dimensions based on whether the width and height values for the init image or the listed size ratio are smaller. If the dimensions of your unit image are larger; they are scaled down. And if the image dimensions are smaller somehow than those of the listed area in megapixels - unlikely particularly with thumbnail and small sizes since those sizes really are truly very small - then your image would be scaled up. 

I’ve tried with a bunch of different prompt and mod packages to get this particular unit image to work right…. but even this prompt and mod set, one of my most successful, is not at all doing anything interesting here ugh. But y’all gonna see some heavy shiznatch with this set though later tonight… on a freaking bunch of *portraits* no lie it’s gonna be swell, gonna be great!
