'Mausenstein the Mathematician'

At first glance, Dr. Mausenstein looks like a very strict maths teacher.

Once a month, to amuse his pupils, he scribbles completely incomprehensible symbols on the blackboard - just like in your picture, Lynn. Then he says to them: The first one to explain it gets two scoops of ice cream. The children really enjoy this, and Dr. Mausenstein is very generous with their imaginative interpretations. After all, no one can explain what is written on the blackboard in mathematical terms: It just looks like maths, but it's not.

When you look at the teacher's face, behind all the rigour there is a lot of kindness and friendliness. No wonder he is affectionately known at school as Maus-Einstein.
