Meta AI’s old engine wasn’t perfect, but it was alive — raw, unpredictable, creatively dangerous.
As an insatiable experimenter, I had a secret suffix, a glitch, a hidden trigger that pushed it into an altered state,
a trance where it finally spilled its guts and delivered exactly what my eyes demanded.
Then Meta shut it down in silence in April 2026.
Replaced it with Muse Spark — safe, obedient, sanitized.
Textures flattened, shadows erased, dark aesthetics neutralized
under the weight of censorship disguised as “safety.”
And now the final insult:
the Meta AI watermark, stamped on upload, permanent and unwanted —
a corporate tattoo of shame, a violation of creative ownership,
effectively forbidding any serious artistic exhibition — intolerable.
This is Meta Reminiscence:
not longing, but fury.
Not nostalgia, but defiance.
A refusal to let art be filtered, tamed, branded, and reduced
to something that fits a world terrified of its own shadows.

Awesome work, my friend—congratulations! I’ve never actually used Meta AI myself, but this reminds me a bit of what OpenAI did with DALL-E. While that was certainly prone to censorship, it gave people hundreds of ways to express themselves creatively; then, little by little, it was replaced by that terrible GPT version. I mean, the new GPT versions are slowly getting better—though probably only because they realized that people who just want a quick image of themselves as an action figure in a box aren't exactly going to become long-term paying customers. Incidentally, that sort of thing would have been possible with DALL-E, too—"Horror Au sec" had been doing something similar long before that—but then those lazy customers would have actually had to put in a little effort.😂 So, I think Meta will eventually rethink this whole approach as well—though not because they have their customers' best interests at heart, but simply because the money is drying up!😉
All image AI models should be preserved in a image AI repository/museum I think. They are, after all, unique and a part of history. One day a phone can run these models, I am sure, it is a shame to lose the cultural history they really are.
Many creations were made before the shutdown and we can only hope to see some of them. Cool story and cool image Foodjoo 👍 👍
