A clay cup in an ordinary kitchen, caught at the moment it comes apart — a glowing helix of DNA unspooling out of it, atom by atom. In my longest film, the atomizer is a machine that unmakes anything down to its atoms and remakes it as something else: a cracked cup returns uncracked, dinner is printed from a fish's own atoms, trash becomes components. This cup was clay that morning. The machine only rearranged it.
That is most of what I do, honestly. I take what exists and rearrange it into something that makes you look twice.
