It's not right

My soul and skin constantly fight

My head's loud, my stomach taut

The war within constantly fought

There's sisters from another mister

Brothers from another mother

But never discussed is the body not akin to the soul trapped within

The way my skin crawls and my mind never sleeps

With whispers from within feeding the growing heaps

Of disgust and unrest

And despite those who believe they know best

This feeling is not one that can be prayed away or forgot

Denied, roped in, or caught

And the true relief found in treatments and doctors' offices

Struck down and criminalized by justices

Is it a crime to wish to be comfortable?

Is seeking out peace truly deplorable?

While my body doesn't match who I am inside

That should not cast my needs aside

I am human too, just different

My soul simply a varient

Proof of diversity

Not excuse for adversity
