This seriously made me hungry!  I love that the AI is trying to do a Gil Elvgren signature... the Singularity cannot be far off... 

You touch on something that bothers me.  It must hurt for a real-world artist to see hours of effort being knocked off in milliseconds, and even more to see it being passed off as original.  I'm sceptical about whether existing copyright or other IP legislation anywhere in the world is equipped to deal with this, as artists have been learning their craft by emulating, taking inspiration from and even replicating existing art forever; so it will probably successfully be argued that training AI is no different.  But the world needs real artists who will continue to produce original work, so we do need a way to protect them and reward their efforts.

Well, this is what was said when the daguerreotype was invented... I think there's a place for old and new media alike...
