Gerkin's Lighthouse

Peter Gerkin was named Lighthouse Keeper for the town of Port Huron. The lighthouse was built on a small island and he would be shipped supplies every Friday. One Friday delivery, the man bringing the supplies noted Peter was gone. The dingy and canoe were still on land and unused. All of his belongings were in the lighthouse and there was no note. He was never found.
