It was the coyotes foraging too close to the farm & bothering his flock that forced Garnet Pligg to use his creative ways to build a machine that would show them who was the boss.

And so was born one moonlight night the Mobile Combat Detectron Doodad, a marvel of welding, metal, glue & lots & lots of duct tape, equipped with sensors & legs & arms to defend his flock in a sort of non-lethal but highly effective manner. It could navigate the property with ease without Garnet doing much at all.

And it worked. Those pesky coyotes ran away so fast, they didn't stop until the next county. 

Well, word of Garnet's invention snuck out & soon farmers far and wide came to see him.  He became a legend and (on the advice of Mrs. Pligg) got a patent for the Doodad lickety-split.

Garnet now gets to be the annual Fair judge on all the mechanical doohickeys & thingamabobs farmers are creating to keep their animals safe. 

He's never been happier in his life.
