I went to a memorial today for someone I went to school with. It's heartbreaking and unimaginable to think someone can be gone so suddenly. It's real and as much as I wish it wasn't, it will always be. 

Words really can't capture the emotions of grief, this image I think does a better job than anything I say might. A future lost and gone like a fleeting mound of sand- you can try to hold on, but it will escape. Some things are beyond our control, no matter how hard we try or how much we wish otherwise.

I made this while giving a quick tutorial to a friend over messenger video call. I ran through the basics of getting started with Nightcafe, we first created the image and she actually came up with most of the prompt. I showed her how to use the presets and other favorite modifiers. I totally forgot to use a negative prompt on the original image so when I decided the image would make a good animation and wanted to show her that I tried adding a negative prompt to combat blur in the animation. It worked a little bit but still a little more blurry than I'd like. Anyway, so this is a collaboration between me and my friend Marcy Williams. Maybe we'll drop it as an NFT.
