Iiren sat stiffly in the carriage as it was driven to the main square. She could feel her heart pounding from where it was squished in her chest.

"We have arrived, my lady." the driver announced. Iiren gathered her skirts in her gloved hands and stepped off onto the path. Her high heels threatened to unbalance her, but she kept steady.

"Blast this." She muttered. At a slower pace than she normally would she began to walk to the entrance of the event. She passed by a mirror that was placed strategically so the guests could have one final check of their outfit.

She could barely recognize herself....
