The Yellow-Banded Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates leucomelas) is one of my favorite amphibians! It gets it's name from the fact that it secretes a poisonous mucus from it's back (which it gets from the poisonous insects it eats) and indigenous people would wipe darts or arrowheads on the frog's back to make poison darts/arrows 🐸
