Jupiter Colonization The conditions on Jupiter are vastly different from those on Mars and Earth. As a gas giant, Jupiter doesn't have a solid surface, making traditional colonization impossible. However, future technology could allow for colonies within the dense fog, with poor visibility. Instead of walking, the colonists would glide through the gas clouds. What would they look like after adapting to the harsh Jupiter environment? They might have iridescent skin, a result of the planet's vibrant cloud formations influencing their appearance over time.
