I like these a lot. Particularly this one. I wonder what he is cooking. 

The dinner I was served today was a dish consisting of some fairly random elements thrown together in a wok, with salmon & celeriac as the dominant flavors.

As a snack, we ate some roasted sunflower seeds combined with another type of seed, and some spices, complemented by fish balls.

As drinks, we shared some home-brewed coffee, a bottle of white wine and a home-made alcoholic beverage with a strong ginger flavor.

Overall, the palate had surprisingly strong Asian influences. 

Somehow I expected a more traditionally European cuisine. 

Not that I care. I love Asian cuisine, and generally prefer it, compared with rustic European dishes.

It's just not what I expected from someone living his lifestyle.

Either way, these images were inspired by the overall vibe I got from when the dude was preparing our dinner & snacks. And this image is the one that comes closest to the rustic setting of the actual home... though it's still way too "modern", mainstream & organised to be accurate.
