Deathcry
Portrayed by Sara Sampaio
Sara Sampaio brings an unearthly poise and quiet menace to Deathcry, the half-Shi’ar warrior bred for battle and bound by exile. Her version of the character is less a berserker and more a caged storm — every movement deliberate, every silence heavy with threat. There’s a sorrow behind her eyes that even the fiercest warriors recognize: the look of someone who has outlived too many wars to still believe in glory.
In this continuity, Deathcry was once the Shi’ar Empire’s most loyal blade — a hybrid experiment meant to unify alien bloodlines into one unstoppable soldier. But the experiment succeeded too well. She turned her rage against her masters and fled to the stars, carving out her own legend among smugglers, bounty hunters, and outlaws. Sampaio’s portrayal captures that paradox perfectly: a being of monstrous potential wrapped in alien elegance, as lethal in silence as she is in motion.
