A morning routine

Wow, that's so cool and cute!!

A whimsical but unsettling magical-realist oil painting depicting a little girl brushing her teeth before an antique bathroom mirror at midnight. Her reflection is not human: an enormous furry horned monster wearing the same pink pajamas performs the same ordinary bedtime ritual.

Camera and composition: Medium-close frontal three-quarter interior view, approximately at the child's shoulder height. A large rectangular antique mirror occupies the central upper two-thirds of the square composition. The real girl stands in the lower-left foreground on a small wooden stool, visible from behind and slightly in profile. Her pink pajamas, small silhouette, and raised toothbrush are clearly recognizable.
