Lord Shiva - The One Who Maintains The Balance Of The Universe

Like Goddess Kali, I believe Lord Shiva is also one of the 'deities' who is misunderstood in the 'Western' world.... As the 'Destroyer God', Lord Shiva is the aspect of the Creator who helps to maintain balance in keeping with the Principle of Polarity...there must be two sides of a coin. As presented to me, Lord Shiva, helps us to recognize the less than Divine aspects within ourselves (Egoic constructs) and gives us the opportunity to shine light in these dark spaces - destroying, or transmuting, the aspects of the Ego that no longer serves us, bringing about transformation. Cannabis is the plant used to recognize attributes of Shiva.
