FWIW, I find that evolving lower contrast start images with higher contrast styles commonly causes image contrast to fall off, resulting in images that look progressively more washed out from one itteration to the next. That's less of a problem if I can crank the noise level above 50% without losing the start image structure (something that depends on the image itself and whether the prompt is sufficiently descriptive to recover the image structure at higher noise levels). At lower noise levels I've found that explicitly specifying "deep colours" at the beginning of the prompt helps shift the output contrast in the right direction.
