Good Day Gone Bad

Penny reached out into the smoke, trying to touch the images that surrounded her. They turned to wisps through her fingers before reforming themselves. The Townsguard was walking through the crowd, glancing from person to person.

"It looks so real..."

"There are limits to how far away we can get from him, but let's look around a bit."

Cedric moved his fingers on the crown of the runed skull and the perspective changed, shifting a short distance down the street. The sudden movement without physically moving made Penny feel nauseous. Two familiar figures came into view.

"So weird... Seeing myself, outside of myself... I remember this though. We were at Market Row, looking for something? ...a gift. For Ferrok's niece."

She resisted the urge to touch the image of herself, it was so uncanny. Behind her and Ferrok, she could see the townsguard getting closer. His demeanor was calm, but alert. Until he saw the two of them.

She watched as he frowned and started following them.
