Tonight is the longest night of the year. In a few minutes the shortest day starts and I should be out tending our Solstice fire. Instead I am on NC talking to people around the world about ART. What could be better.
How it was done:
First go back 40 years to a "contest" held by the Vancouver Art Gallery to interpret the word "Art " in a painting. (Kinda like our Daily Challenge).
So I grabbed a sheet of LettraSet, My favorite font "Magnificat" by the fabulous calligrapher Fred Peters from North Vancouver. LettraSet was of course in Black and White. I blew the lettering up real large and spent a week airbrushing color into it. You can see the result in the start image used for every "iteration" image here.
Then I started a prompt with the words I felt described the original. (see the open prompt) Plus, then added the key word at the start of the prompt (Steampunk etc from the culture section of prompts, or each artists' name). NC did the rest
