Suiyaku Tsubasa is a mostly non-verbal autistic boy. The reason for him being non-verbal is due to his fruit bat mutation which rendered his vocals to be around 75-80% that of bat's. This causes him to only be able to communicate in 2–4-word sentences at a time and with bat vocalizations.

"Momo very pretty!"

"I talk not well."

"*hisses aggressively* Give back! You no steal!"

"I ... I ... quiet, Momo. Need quiet."

Momo is a girl from a wealthy family. However, she's very kind and empathetic. She doesn't treat Suiyaku any differently than she would with neurotypical people. However, she does make a considerable effort in making sure that Suiyaku's need for quiet time or if something is bothering him is top priority.

"Sui, are you okay? Do we need to leave?"

"Oh, it's okay. Let's find something else to eat that you'll like."

"It doesn't feel very good, does it? What about this? It's much softer and smoother than the other one."

"Oh, thank you Sui! You're so sweet to do that."
