John Blanche

John Blanche (1948 - ) is a British fantasy and science fiction illustrator and modeller. He worked on Games Workshop's White Dwarf magazine, games of the Warhammer universe and was the art director for the company and illustrated various game books and Fighting Fantasy publications. His distinctive style combines intricate details with dark, gritty imagery, creating a sense of grim realism that has become synonymous with the Warhammer universe. Blanche's illustrations often feature fantastical creatures, elaborate landscapes, and sinister characters, drawing inspiration from mythology, history, and gothic art.
