Heads of the Families- Maximus Schreck

The Schreck family met an undignified end in a long-forgotten sliver of land in Prussia. A plague laid the entire family low, and as the end drew near for himself and his bloodline, Maximus Schreck forsook God and begged anyone to save him. A vampire known as the Crypt Queen rose from the family tombs, drawn to him by his blasphemy. In exchange for postponing the judgement beyond the mortal curtain, she'd be given a stronghold and a husband who'd protect her from any who'd try to destroy her. Maximus rose as a Strygoi, forever a frozen portrait of the stricken man who damned his soul all those centuries ago, a Schreck only in name. He found an escape from death and judgment but also from any peace. The Crypt Queen's thoughts and desires overshadow his own. Hordes of Strygoi now live in the decrepit manor's network of underground tunnels, all of them made at the Crypt Queen's command. Whenever the Draculina summons her bannermen, it is Schreck who answers the call in his lady's stead.
