Staff Sergeant Emma Close.

Staff Sergeant Emma Close participated in Operation Backline, the defensive operation of the defense of Ganymede, where she displayed exceptional leadership and courage. She commanded a defense outpost that held off continuous waves of enemy for seven cycles, earning her the Galactic Medal with Orians Clasp. She demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative by using improvised weapons and explosives to fend off the enemy.

She was promoted to Staff Sergeant upon her return from her posting in the 25th Mobile Infantry Division, and assumed the position of drill instructor and platoon leader of V platoon, 643rd Recruit Training Battalion, Cirrus. She was awarded the badge of Recruit Instructor First Clasp by the Commandant for her excellence in training new recruits.

Staff Sergeant Emma Close is a valuable asset to the CMI and a role model for all soldiers.
