There may be one, there may be two, but when it's a pile no one knows what to do. Knitted socks is already quite odd, but a pile of them is simply slipshod. Someone isn't doing the laundry at all, because washing knitted socks is like washing a shawl. It doesn't seem right, it's not like pillow cases or sheets. Who would think that knitted socks are right for wearing on feet?
