I had a snail once. I had named it Frank. He ate lettuce and was happy (I had found him in the middle of a two-lane blacktop, so he would've died.)
When I freed him, I still didn't know if he was really male. Maybe he was Francine, and I will never know.

My dog's name is Frank. This was my first introduction to your work. I started following you because of this. We ended up having a great connection and some important conversations after that. More because of the color big balls than this, but that is for another time. I was just missing the snail, so I stopped in on him and saw his name. That didn't register until today. I miss you.

Here's the little snail you were telling me about!
Is it a true story? Because I also had two snails once, they were in my garden and one had a slightly chipped shell, and there was another nearby and I took them (thinking they wanted to be together!) and I kept them for a while. Once freed they seemed to be fine... I simply called them "Bavosa" and "Bavosina" because she was smaller!
