“The bread which is full of all goodness.,” the congregation, with help from Helena, replied.

“Let us Pray. O God, who in this wonderful sacrament has left us a memorial of your passion, help us so to reverence the sacred mysteries of your body and blood that we may always experience in our lives the effects of your redemption. Who live and reign for ever and ever.”

“Amen,” the congregation replied.


Father Anselm, donning a humeral veil, a rectangular white cloth with gold embroidery that went around his shoulders and allowed him to reverently grasp the Monstrance, he took the Monstrance and made the sign of the cross with it. As he did this a server incensed The Monstrance and Helena from her pew rang a set of bells to inform the congregation something important was taking place. This was benediction itself. The people crossed themselves.

Setting the Monstrance on the altar, Father Anselm knelt back down at the foot of the altar and lead the congregation in the Divine Praises; they seemed to know them by heart as they responded to them with ease.
A period of silence followed for individual prayer before Father Anselm placed the Eucharist back in the tabernacle. Helena once again led the congregation in singing:


*Holy God, we praise thy name!/
Lord of all, we bow before thee!/
All on Earth thy sceptre claim,/
All in Heav'n above adore thee;/
Infinite thy vast domain,/
Everlasting is thy reign.*

*Hark! the loud celestial hymn/
Angel choirs above are raising!/

In unceasing chorus praising,/
Fill the heav'ns with sweet accord;/
Holy, holy, holy, Lord!*

Father Anselm genuflected and left the sanctuary. He motioned to Helena to join him.

“This concludes our service this evening, Sister, would you like to add anything?”

“All I can say is go about your day tomorrow as normal and do not be afraid. My teammates and I will confront the Lady, so pray for us. Be at peace. Thank you,” Helena said. She returned to her pew, and Father Anselm and servers retired to the sacristy. Helena stayed for some time in prayer as did the congregation. One by one they left the church in varying numbers.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have Mercy on us and on the world.” The congregation stumbled over the words of the Divine Mercy chaplet, but they played it as reverently as they could. Sister Helena could feel a sense of calm in the church.
Once the Chaplet had concluded, Helena surveyed the room.

“These next few days will be challenging. You might be afraid, but be not afraid and say ‘Jesus, I trust in You!’”

“Jesus, I trust in You!” The congregation replied. Helena smiled, paused for a moment then sat back down.
