At platform's edge, a iron beast, A slumbering giant, slumbers least. Beneath its hide, a fiery heart, Pulsing with steam, a work of art.

A plume unfurls, a dragon's breath, White tendrils dance, defying death. It hisses soft, a restless sigh, Anticipation in its iron eye.

The whistle blows, a mournful call, A symphony on metal wall. Luggage clatters, doors slide wide, Excitement stirs, where dreams confide.

The steam it billows, thick and white, A veil that hides, then grants the light. Of faces hopeful, futures bright, Embarking on a steely flight.

The pistons cough, a rhythmic groan, The iron giant breathes alone. Then with a lurch, a mighty strain, It pulls away, the steam a train.

The station fades, a blurry scene, The world unfurls, a vibrant green. The train, a serpent, cuts the sky, With steam as wings, it soars on by.
