In the Blue Sea, Like in a Pharmacy

In the blue sea, like in a pharmacy,
Everything has meaning and weight.
A ship, just like a man, you see,
Desperately needs a name of fate.
A name's not given vainly,
I'll tell you upfront, look -
However the yacht is named
Is how it will sail its course.
However the yacht is named
Is how it will sail its course.
Name it "Hercules"
And command it onward,
And without an icebreaker
It will smash through polar ice.
But if you name it "Tub" or "Bucket",
Trouble won't pass you by -
Even in a swamp that yacht
Will end up soaked inside.
Even in a swamp that yacht
Will end up soaked inside.

Happy Captain on Yacht, Alan Lee Style
This image shows a cheerful elderly captain with a large mustache and pipe at the helm of his yacht. It's a bright, colorful, and detailed scene reminiscent of a magical maritime painting.

Wonderful poem Puaro, I was reminded of self fulfilling prophecy. Very handsome captain 💞💞
Absolutely brilliant! The story is fantastic and the piece is great, dude.
Ahoy, adventure! 🌱She looks like a nice old man, but he is definitely a great captain and experiences many interesting sea adventures. I would probably go on a sea expedition with him. I've never seen these cartoons and I'd love to watch them! (They should pay you for advertising!😂) 🥰
Awesome Puaro!!!! Such an interesting narrative about an amazing Soviet artist and animator 😍😍😍😍
Wow, Those cartoons were something else! 👌🏻💜 and you are a master of describing everything with words 🫰🏻💙 wonderful!
Artist
In 1980, a 13-episode cartoon "The Adventures of Captain Vrungel" was released on Soviet screens, work on which went on for 4 years and became in the future one of the most beloved cartoons in the entire post-Soviet space. The author of this masterpiece was then still a novice, and later a giant of Soviet animation, David Cherkassky (if you know the famous walk and laugh of Dr. Livesey from memes - this is from his cartoon "Treasure Island" released in 1986)
