Meera's native town of Kvatch has definetely seen some better days. First there were Oblivion gates and hords of daedra and then, out of the blue, another plague epidemic.
But it wasn't something they had not deserved. Not a chance of it,
Meera was positive this has to do something with Peryite. The Nine Divines probably saw how sinful the citizens had become, so they gave the Plague Lord the task to cleanse the town. And he, of all the Gods, would definetely know what to do to teach them now not to do.
She learned to worship Him a long time ago and was only hoping The Lord would spare her worthless life. If he decided not to, Meera wouldn't mind. She is sinful, after all. As all humans are.
