Oren Mortcombe

Clad always in black, the undertaker of Duskmoor moves with a solemn gravity, his attire austere yet dignified. None but he tends to the town’s dead, and his presence is as constant as the shadow of the grave. His voice, low and rasping, bears a gentleness that steadies mourners even as it unsettles them, a comfort bound in darkness. Ever beside Isaiah at the rites, he stands like a sentinel of the departed. Though folk find his nearness eerie, none deny the solace of knowing death is met with care, and the earth receives its due.
