"Elf Herself" is the call sign of Black-mind Brandy, a pivotal character in the timeline of a superhero project that I'm developing. Whether this is a picture of Elf Herself's birth mother, or an adoptive mother is still open.

Lord Gairon and Elf Herself's birth mom never get officially married, although that wouldn't stop her from taking his name after they part ways. Moreover, Brandy was the name of Gairon's dog over 500 years previously . . . a fact that Gairon wisely keeps to himself.

History records that Black-mind Brandy destroys Lord Gairon, which is not at all what happens. Mostly. Rebranded as "Elf Herself," the girl brings hope to a dying civilization.

How "mom" comes back into the picture hasn't been decided yet. But partly renaming herself after her "daughter"...? That's notable.
