In the canned prompt regarding depth of field : It really doesn't say anything.  You could say narrow depth of field if you want it to focus on a small area for example taking a portrait  and totally bluring out the background. In photography this is controlled by the f stop. In the portrait example one would use a large apperature such as f 2.5. On the other end of the spectrum, you could use deep  or long depth of field to remove lens blur in the foreground and backgrould at the same time. The old landscape masters such a Ansel Adam's used there equiptment to the max useing f 64. To obtaining sharpness throughout an image.
