In combat, they utilize their formidable claws and teeth, along with abilities like dazing blows, improved grab, pounce, rake, and rend to tear apart their foes. Despite their fearsome nature, cave trolls often serve more intelligent beings like dark elves, hobgoblin warlords, and hag rulers in the Eberron and Faerûn settings .
