Some of the legalese in their contracts was dreadfully dull. How to make up for it? They weren't big on motivational sayings posted around the office or abstract art.

Instead they had informal "dibs" of who wanted to wear what over the next few days. Nothing silly. Just, nobody liked copying anyone else, and sometimes seeing what colleagues would be wearing gave an idea for new suits. New suits led to new or fresher ideas. Nobody could challenge their legal minds.

They had power suits for special conferences, but otherwise, they needed that freedom of expression. They complimented male colleagues on their sharp suits, particularly with vests, or their ties of course, but the line was drawn there. It was a professional environment, and it all worked better than any rah-rah team-building exercises.
