Patchwork Sentinels

Army Role:
Patchwork Sentinels act as the soldiers of the doll host. They march in platoons of six to twelve, forming nightmarish parodies of toy soldiers. Sentinels surround enemies and drag them back toward the hive, where their victims are “played with” before being torn apart. Some wield makeshift weapons—broken parasols as spears, sharpened knitting needles as swords, or even rusted scissors tied to their hands. They often sing eerie nursery rhymes in unison as they advance, creating an atmosphere of dread before they strike.

Grotesque Patchwork Sentinels: Monstrous Doll Guardians
This image shows imposing, human-sized doll guardians built from mismatched materials. Porcelain limbs, stitched torsos, and cracked glass eyes form grotesque figures in tattered uniforms, each with a key embedded in its back.

Lore:
Sentinels are formed when swarms of Crawlers fuse, binding together into hulking guardians. Their hive-mind grows sharper at this stage, and they begin to act with disturbing coordination. They arrange broken toys, bones, and corpses into grotesque “play scenes” in abandoned estates. Villagers speak of encountering entire doll battalions lined up in streets, waiting in silence for their Queen’s command. When their numbers swell too large, the hive instinct compels them to fuse again—birthing a commander.
