Luxurious Low-Key Library

She'd heard "just wanting a chat" several times a day. Such a hallowed library was not the place! She'd taken the job as a curator specifically not to put up with that.

People could ask for their books, ask for further recommendations, and sit and read. She enjoyed the company of those who did. Small talk was pointless.

She did not need to hear how she could have a more exciting job if she just tried to be more social. The curators paid her well, and research and reading were her excitement. Overly talkative patrons, or ones who stared too much, weren't allowed back to the library.
