Cold Was The Night

(Maniacal Exhilaration)

Midnight broke like a fractured skull—a tidal wave of maniacal exhilaration, intoxicating madness, invincibility, and insatiable chaos. A chorus of cackles was shattered by the detonation of deviance. Feral, unbridled lawlessness transformed the castle's apertures into a high-octane amphitheatre. Tyres scorched calligraphy onto pristine marble, enrapturing the coven presiding above like trapped apex predators. It was the admiration of devastation personified. Maniacal thrill consumed them in sublime ecstasy, untethering their minds from reality. Drunk on the wild energy of the moment, their laughter birthed a churning plume of bats into chaos—a tapestry of shadows, illuminated by the frantic flicker of dying candelabras.
Beneath this aerial vortex, vintage machines on the precipice of disaster culminated in the ultimate display of automotive peril: the wall of death. Breaking the laws of gravity, tyres chewed through the plush interior. Breathless mechanical acrobatics followed. Predatory eyes flashed danger and maniacal exhilaration, while guttural laughter birthed ravens like spilled ink. Bound by the fierce loyalty of their gothic fraternity and an insatiable hunger for beautiful ruin, the feminine vampires and witches laughed, intoxicated by the sight of werewolf bikers tearing their ancestral sanctuary to glorious pieces.

Why?

I created this to Subvert the Tropes of Vampires, witches and werewolves.
Vampires and witches are traditionally depicted as elegant, stagnant, and protective of their ancient, pristine sanctuaries. Werewolves are often seen as primal, outdoor beasts. By putting the werewolves on motorbikes and having them trash a marble castle—while the Vampires and witches absolutely love it—I flipped standard horror dynamics on their head. Trading traditional gothic dread for maniacal joy.

The Architecture of Feeling

Pick a feeling - (wonder, longing, awe, the quiet kind of joy, it's up to you!) - and build a Body of Work that tells a story about it. Tell one story from start to finish, as a collection of images and/or videos, or as a single edited video. Think short film or mini exhibition, not a single image, clip, or mood board.

We want to feel it, not just see it.
