A competition for AI storytellers

Once upon a time, there was a brave mouse knight. The mice called him brave because he was almost never afraid and always did his best to do the right thing. He lived with all his friends in an old castle in the forest. Winter was finally over, and everyone was happy about the warming rays of sunshine. On that day, the brave mouse knight went to the pantry with his friends. They were concerned to find that it was empty and that there was no more food left after the long winter. "Oh no! " said the brave mouse knight, "we must hurry and find something to eat before it gets dark!" So, the mice decided to go into the forest to look for good food for everyone. In search of food, the mice walked deeper into the forest. They were a little scared because they knew there were large animals in the forest. Suddenly, the brave mouse knight saw a big brown bear. He was busy gathering tasty things to eat. The brave mouse knight approached the bear carefully. The bear had all his baskets with him. They were full of berries and honey, which he had collected after a lot of hard work. The mice were very hungry and really needed that food. So, the brave mouse knight told the bear a lie. "Look" he said, "a storm is coming! We will protect your food from the storm in our castle. " The bear believed them and the mice took all his food away and brought it to their castle. After the mice had gone, the bear was sitting all alone in the forest. He was very sad and hungry. He realized that the mice had lied to him and stolen all his food. That night, the brave mouse knight could not sleep. He felt very bad. He knew that he had lied to the bear and taken all his food. The next morning, the brave mouse knight spoke to his friends: "We must return the bear’s food! It was not right to steal all of it. It took a lot of effort to find all those berries and the honey. " So, they went back into the forest and returned the food to the bear. "I'm sorry I lied to you, " said the brave mouse knight, "We didn't want to steal from you, but we were very hungry. Here is all your food back. " The bear smiled and said, "Thank you for being so honest and bringing back my food. You do not have to go hungry, I will share my food with you. " The brave mouse knight was glad that the bear was not angry. He was very happy about the kind bear's help. The mice said goodbye to their new friend and went home. The bear had shared his food with them. The brave mouse knight was very grateful and gave the bear his helmet and a pretty leather decoration. Everyone was happy and learned that honesty is always the best choice.
