What is AI Art?
AI art is artwork created with the help of artificial intelligence. You describe what you want to see in a text prompt, and an AI model turns your words into an image or video, ranging from oil paintings and anime illustrations to photorealistic portraits and surreal fantasy worlds.
You don't need to know how to draw to make AI art. The creativity comes from your ideas, your prompts and the choices you make along the way. On NightCafe you can create AI art with all the best models, explore AI art made by millions of other creators, browse AI art galleries by theme, and put your skills to the test in daily AI art challenges.

Why Do People Make AI Art?
For most people on NightCafe, AI art is a hobby. It's not about churning out assets for work; it's about the joy of turning an idea in your head into something you can see and share. It makes people feel creative, often for the first time in years.
Many of our creators call it a healthy addiction. A few minutes of creating gets their brain flowing, helps them de-stress, and lets them forget about whatever is weighing them down for a while. Mostly, it's just a lot of fun. That's why so many people make it part of their daily routine: some NightCafe creators haven't missed a day in over three years.
It's also why NightCafe is built around people, not just tools. Enter the daily AI art challenges, play Promptle, hang out in chat rooms with other creators, and share your work with a supportive community that cheers you on.
I love it so much because I love art so much. And you literally gave me a way to be an artist. Where I did not have that before...
