She knows that Tamlin's life (a High Fae and High Lord of the Spring Court.) , and the survival of the Spring Court, Prythian and the human realm, are at stake. 
Amarantha tells her that to free him she has to pass three trials or solve a riddle and then taken to the dungeons.
