i dont like draco he's an alright character, but he isnt really good until the later books

He serves a purpose in the earlier books, and he develops into a meaningful character later on.
Not really. He served the role of the black-and-white bully, no depth, giving the story a clear antagonist until Voldemort returned, at which point he filled out.
As an author, I'm probably analyzing too much anyways.
I feel like Draco could have been so much more if J. K. Rowling had given him more attention, especially when he was making his decisions between good and evil.

I've never read any of the Harry Potter books (and I used to work in a bookstore during my college years), but one of my cousins delighted in that series, so I can totally appreciate this! ;-) <3<3<3 :D
