The Smirk of the Forest God

Steeped in the rich and whimsical traditions of Slavic folklore, "The Smirk of the Forest God" captures a lighthearted clash between mortal desperation and ancient magic. Deep within a primeval, mist-shrouded woodland illuminated by thousands of twinkling golden sparkles, a thoroughly bewildered traveler has fallen victim to the illusions of the Leshy—the ultimate shape-shifting guardian of the wilderness. Having lost his way to the spirit's trickster mimicry, the lost mortal resorts to the classic folkloric defense: desperately wearing his heavy wool coat completely inside out and cramming his leather boots onto the wrong feet to break the spell. Standing tall among the gnarled birch trees, the magnificent bark-skinned forest god looks on with an amused, knowing smirk, deeply entertained by the chaotic wardrobe malfunctions of the human wandering through his sacred domain.
