“I’ll cover you! Go get to the core module!” Her companion exclaimed. Lio, a 16 year old girl from Ryomen, Japan, was tasked with the mission of shutting down an Artificial Intelligence mastermind computer. Ryomen was a city on the water out in the middle of the Pacific, often referred to as the “horizon city”.
Lio’s companion, Rei, was stranded on a tall concrete platform above. They were in a large dome-shaped room with multiple machines and mechanisms surrounding the walls. The floor was made out of a tan marble, with small details around it. In the center lay a bronze, spherical machine. This was the embodiment of the AI. Ling ago in history, an engineer from Ryomen named Kikai Shiken invented a system of artificial intelligence to help engineers build faster and more durable aircraft to traverse to other locations since Ryomen was so far out at sea. It was too dangerous to travel by water, so the air was the most ideal. (Continue to comments)
