With their new friend attempting to lead the way, the trio embark on a long arduous journey.
They stop on a few occasions to rest, collect water and eat. On two nights they sleep in a makeshift canopy Chiyo makes from fallen tree branches, big leaves and moss, and despite the chilly air they stay warm by huddling together.
Even the anxious cub sleeps peacefully, with his head resting against Chiyo's hip, and Yulip's paws wrapped around them both.
On the third afternoon Chiyo stops at a stream to refill her water bottle, while the two tigers run around & play together. Something which seems to greatly ease the cub's anxiety.
Chiyo feels her heart fill with immense pride for Yulip being such a wonderful guardian to the cub; as Yulip is to her also.
It's early evening when the cub perks up, now knowing his surroundings.
A beautiful desert land lies ahead; they saw him home safe.
Affectionately the pair say goodbye to their furry little friend, and he happily sprints home.
