With the renaming of the Houston Colt .45s baseball team to the Astros in 1965 and the opening of the Astrodome for them to play in, the staff had special space themed names and uniforms. The grounds crew were known as the Earthmen and wore spacesuits, while the ushers were known as Spacettes.
