At first I wasn't sure I was going to make anything for this challenge. All the ideas that came to mind were derivative of other people's work, and I am probably not the best person to make yet another "Vogue" knockoff. But after trying to acquire a replacement for some Durable Medical Equipment and hoping to get insurance to pay for it, I chatted a bit with some local homeless folks who were trying to avoid heatstroke in dangerously high temperatures, then went to a store where I saw some ridiculously expensive glossy magazine with the word "Modern" in the title. And so "Modern Poverty" magazine was born.
(Ideogram is pretty good with text, but it clearly doesn't know the difference between slab-serif and Didone. Oh, well: at least the title isn't in Comic Sans.)
